When you are a caregiver, you give a large portion of your life to helping your loved one. The stress of caring for someone can be very rewarding at times but overall emotionally and physically exhausting. There is a new program that is available for caregivers called "CarePartners." This program was designed so that caregivers are able to still care for their loved one but can also continue to live their life.
This is a volunteer based program that allows the caregivers to take a break from the caregiving. They are able to go and do the things that they need to complete such as work, errands, or just time for themselves. The stress and frustration often times can build up and start to ruin the relationship between the two of you. CarePartners can give you that necessary break and give you peace of mind knowing that they are getting taken care of while you are away.
Offering You The Support You Need
Caregiving requires a great deal of mental and physical strength. At some point, everyone needs some time off to rejuvenate. The CarePartners program offers services that support you in caring for your loved one. You can take some time for yourself so you can be a happy and stress free caregiver.
The Help You Need Is Here
Our CarePartners volunteers are trained and eager to give you a break. They volunteer to spend a couple of hours a week with your loved one. All CarePartners have passed a mandatory background check.
Caring For A Loved One Includes Caring For Yourself As Well
Studies show that respite improves mood, stress levels and the overall health of a caregiver. You can be a more effective caregiver when you are happy and healthy. According to National Family Caregivers, "Family caregivers experiencing extreme stress have been shown to age prematurely. This level of stress can take as much as 10 years off a family caregiver's life." With CarePartners, you are able to not only assist with your loved ones help but also with your own health.
The Services Provided by CarePartners include:
- Visiting and getting to know your loved one
Listening to Music
