This unique position is to coordinate activities for assisted living residents in Alzheimer’s care. Our philosophy is to have a high-touch approach with each resident, which includes sensory types of activities that span emotional, spiritual/religious, tactile, and audio spectrum.
This position requires creativity, patience, compassion, insight, and love of people. This is more than “just doing activities.” This person must gauge the attitude and temperament of the resident(s) and adjust to what will engage them and make them feel satisfied.
The daily schedule is planned for 6 hour days from 12:30 - 4:30 plus some additional time to do planning and scheduling the activities calendar for the coming week/month, and preparing materials for activities.
Some experience is preferred.
