1. FOOD SERVICE MANAGER
An immediate opportunity exists for an experienced and professional Manager of Dining Services. The selected candidate will successfully oversee and manage the day to day operations of all Dining Services operations. A passion for food and hands on experience in delivering dining room service are critical for success in this position. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will maintain and uphold the standards of Bel Aire Senior Living and meet the expectations of the department while ensuring exceptional customer service, hospitality and a quality dining experience for our residents.
This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, some computer skills, strong interpersonal skills with kitchen staff and other management team members, patience, one-on-one instruction skills, and a positive attitude to be successful.
Candidate must be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently and able to make decisions. Must have excellent organizational skills, detailed oriented. Must be pleasant, professional and willing to assist your staff where ever needed.
Qualified candidates will possess 3-5 years of related food service experience and at least one year of food service management experience, obtain/hold any local, state and county required food handling certifications. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with seniors and older adults.

2. ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
This unique position is to coordinate activities for assisted living residents in Alzheimer's care. Our philosophy is to have a high-touch approach with each resident, which includes sensory types of activities that span emotional, spiritual/religious, tactile, and audio spectrum.
This position requires creativity, patience, compassion, insight, and love of people. This is more than "just doing activities." This person must gauge the attitude and temperament of the resident(s) and adjust to what will engage them and make them feel satisfied.
The daily schedule is planned for 6 hour days from 10:30 - 4:30. Some of that time will be planning and scheduling the activities calendar for the coming week/month, and preparing materials for activities.
3. KITCHEN ASSISTANT
This position is centered on assisting the cooking staff including monitoring the dining room for needed items during food service, busing tables, cleaning dining areas and tables, dish washing, and general kitchen cleaning at the end the shift. Mostly evenings - 4 hours shifts.
Applicants must understand and speak English to communicate with fellow employees, residents, and to be able to follow written instructions.

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves, microwaves. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Set-up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of the residents. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
- Two years of institutional cooking experience, or equivalency is required. Demonstrated human relations, computer literacy, and effective communication skills required. A current food handler's permit is also required.
2.Previous food production experience in a health care setting is preferred.
- Able to execute large batch production recipes.
- Excellent understanding of quality, scratch food production and fundamental cooking techniques
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team; ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
