You're the Man! A Father means so many things... An understand heart, a source of strength and support right from the very start. A constant readiness to help in a kind and thoughtful way with encouragement and forgiveness no matter what comes your way. A special generosity and always affection too. A father means so many things when he's a man like you. To all the amazing fathers and grandfathers at Bel Aire Senior Living, we would like to wish you a very Happy Father's Day!!

June's Positive Thought- " A Great attitude becomes a great day which becomes a great month which becomes a great year which becomes a great life!"

A Friendly Visit! We had the honor to have a special friend come visit with some of our residents. A Golden Retriever dog came to Bel Aire. They loved her, and some of them wanted to keep her.

Trivia Whiz: Nature's Best Dads

Animals don't often get nominated for father of the year, so let's hear it for several who should. Happy Father's Day to:

  • Emperor Penguins. Females need to feed and refuel after laying eggs, leaving males to incubate the eggs in the frigid Antarctic. For two months, the penguins dads balance an egg on their feet, protecting it with their brooding pouches.
  • Marmosets. These tree-dwelling primates often give birth to twins or triplets. When the babies are a few weeks old, the father steps in to help raise the young- feeding, grooming, and carrying them on his back.

  • Wolves. While the she-wolf guards pups in the den- her mate for life- hunts for the family. Later, he acts as a protective mentor.

Mother's Day Dinner- We want to thank everyone who helped make this event possible and perfect for all of our residents and their families.

Walking and Talking- This was a perfect day to go out, our residents had so much fun walking and talking while enjoying a beautiful and sunny day. Enjoying the beautiful weather that spring has to offer. Donna really loves going on long walks outside.

On rainy days we like to get together as a group and solve large puzzles. Everyone is always helpful and patient during the mind-numbing experience.
