We would like to inform you that our activities coordinator in our memory care area, Becky Olsen, has chosen to pursue another career path. First of all we would like to thank Becky for all of the wonderful things she did for our residents over this past year.

Here are some things that made Becky stand out: Becky simply loved working with the residents in her area, and needless to say residents and families loved her back. She loved knowing that she was making a big difference in our residents' lives and it was the simple things that we often over look that made the biggest difference.

Becky was also very talented when it came to scrap-booking and card making. She could create beautiful boards highlighting current residents, make beautiful handmade cards or invitations, create meaningful activities and much more, but it was her personal attention and love she shared with each resident individually that truly made her shine. We will all - residents, families as well as the Bel Aire staff, miss her and thank her for her wonderful influence.

With this change taking place many of you are probably wondering what will happen next. Marcela Valdivia who has been our activities coordinator for years on our assisted living side will step in daily to provide some activities and a level of interaction with the residents while we are in the process of interviewing candidates and finding the right person to take Becky's place. We know how difficult it is for our residents to accept change, so we will do all we can to make this transition as easy as possible.
