What is assisted living life like?

Here at Bel Aire Senior Living family is everything. We focus on what makes you or your loved one comfortably, happy, and healthy. We want Bel Aire Senior Living to be a second home; somewhere you or your elderly can relax and enjoy time with family. We always try to describe the atmosphere here at Bel Aire Senior Living and sometimes they don’t quite understand. So the best way we have found is to compare Bel Aire Senior Living to a vacation on a cruise ship.

We feel the only difference is we are on land and cruise ships are on water.  Otherwise the same atmosphere can apply to both.

Don’t believe us? Just wait and see:

  • When venturing out on a cruise ship you don’t have to worry about extra cost, right? Meal, activities, and housekeeping are all included. Well the same applies here at Bel Aire Senior Living. Our monthly price is all inclusive. We do laundry 3 times a week. Light house keeping everyday and deep clean once a week. Also we have 3-4 activities everyday and outings once a week. Along with all of this we provide 3 meals, snacks in the late afternoon, and we’ve implemented a program where each resident is given extra fluids twice a day in addition to regular drinks that come with meals. Alzheimer’s wing residents are given 2 oz of fluid every 2 hours.
  • Lets take it one step further, in assisted living you get all mentioned above PLUS medical help. Meaning you can receive medication management, continent care, and mobile doctors if needed. Along with the health care we will also write down and keep track of what medicines our resident take, in case their doctors need to know, and the staff will order the medicine that need to be filled. So you don't have to worry about anything!
  • The social life is one in the same. On a cruise ship you can lounge or be active all day. The same goes for assisted living. Here at Bel Aire Senior Living you can sleep the morning away, or what most residents love to do, is go to all the activities and outings. Also having fun is always important to us. We celebrate each resident birthday with a party, new residents will have a welcome party and each Friday residents enjoy Happy Hour themed around yummy food. We do have a bunch of social butterflies here.

When going on a cruise you plan ahead right? You save money, decide where you are going, and what kind of room you want. The list could go on! So why not plan ahead for assisted living? You can save money, decide where you are going and pick what kinds of rooms you like.  Educate yourself and your family on finances and what the future can hold. Set a budget and involve your family. One of the best things you can do for them is teach them. Life is expensive and nothing feels better than being financial secure.

Lets plan together or with our friends at Utah Senior Planning, for your future and your families future. It is never to early to plan for assisted living or I mean an awesome cruise, because they are the same, right?
