What is Medicaid?

Medicaid in simple terms is a federal program administered by the state of Utah that pays for long-term care. While it also helps others such as low-income pregnant women, children, and parents or women with breast or cervical cancer, it is a top contender for elderly or disabled people.

What is New Choices Wavier?

Within Medicaid there is New Choices Wavier, this wavier helps elderly people who live in Medicaid-funded homes, which helps pay for the costs of the needs of your loved ones. Some of these needs include transportation, attendant care, adult day care, and the list goes on.
